Lamjung Samaj UK elected new executive committee members:

LSUK successfully held its 6th AGM & 3rd Convention on Saturday, the 13th April 2013 at St. John Ambulance Center, Farnborough, UK.

Meeting was split into two sessions: AGM & Convention.

AGM begun shortly after the welcome speech of Vice President, Mr. Tularam Gurung and was chaired by President, Mr. Krishna Kumar Gurung & hosted by Secretary, Mr. Bishwa Jung Gurung with co-host Assistant Secretary, Mr. Purna Chandra Gurung (Yunil).

In the presence of all executive committee members, advisors, life & general members and many UK residents originally from Lamjung district, Secretary, Mr. Bishwa Jung Gurung, Treasurer, Mr. Bohat Gurung & Entertainer, Mr. Bidhan Gurung had successfully presented annual reports. They all received a big applause and praise from the floor. Well-done to everyone.

The meeting went extensively deep for further betterment of community. All the participants were extensively engaged in a very constructive discussion on various matters suggesting how community could move forward. Some projects were also presented on the floor by the attendees which are following:

1)  Lamjung house in UK by ex- founder president and Advisor Mr. Chandra Prasad Gurung.

2)  Organising Cultural Program for promoting culture and raising LSUK fund by Mr. Ratna  Gurung on behalf of co-ordinating members, Mr. Padam Gurung & Mr. Surendra Ghale.

3) Development & betterment of football ground in Lamjung head-quarter Beshishar by Mr. Madan Kumar Shrestha.

4) Help to Folk singer, former winner of Rastriya Lok Geet Competition Mrs. Maya Gurung by Mr. Dhan Bahadur Gurung.

Convention begun shortly after the speech by chairperson Mr. Krishna Kumar Gurung. On his speech he had concluded the importance of meeting and dissolved the current executive committee members, & handed over the second session to election committee.

An election was conducted under  the Election Committee Members: Mr Ek Bahadur Gurung, Mr Chandra Prasad Gurung, Mr Bishnu Prasad Gurung, and Mr Uday Gurung. The committee went under all the procedure of election and new executive members were announced under the chairmanship of Mr. Tularam Gurung  for 3 years as follows.
